Why not just use a calendar?
Ordinary calendar
Remembers what you already know and manually enter. It has no way to notice something you haven't typed in yourself.

Lets you set a reminder once you've already spotted the date — but the work of finding, reading and deciding still sits with you.

Sharing admin without becoming the admin
The difference between ownership and visibility
Ownership is who’s responsible for actually dealing with something; visibility is who can see it’s there. A household can share visibility on everything while only one person owns most items — the two aren’t the same decision.
Avoiding duplicate reminders
When both partners get separately reminded about the same renewal, it’s easy for each to assume the other has it — a shared item with one clear owner avoids that particular kind of double-miss.
Keeping private items private
Not everything in a shared household needs to be shared. A personal subscription or a gift-related purchase can stay visible only to the person it belongs to.
Sharing household items selectively
Car insurance, council tax, the joint streaming account — these make sense to share. Individual accounts usually don’t need to be, even in an otherwise fully shared household.
Recording who handled an item
A brief record of who actually dealt with something avoids the quieter cost of shared admin — the sense that only one person ever seems to be the one who noticed.
One source of truth without one household administrator
The aim isn’t for one partner to become the household’s admin department. It’s a shared view either person can act on, without needing to ask the other what’s outstanding.
